On the first day of reasonable weather in this fetidly warm city since upon arriving home I continued work on the Barnstone collection. Notable today was scanning some plans for the Menil house originally built by Houston favorite, the New York architect Philip Johnson, for our wonderful Menil family. Ms. Menil was unhappy with some of the ideas on the porch and the a/c system etc, can you blame her?, so she hired Mr. Barnstone to make the house just a tad bit more liveable.
Also, a house for the Battlestein's on Memorial drive with wonderful, organic curves that makes this period of modernity in Houston so magical.
