Today I cataloged 60 more cards of drawer 5's sheet music collection project. No particularly major problems, though I am wondering more and more about some of the titles in the more complex foreign language and multiple song pieces of music - Jeanette, please let me know what you think because I do find occasional strange things in the title fields of some cards. I'm wondering if "op. __ and no. __" still go in the title field or not, for example. I've highlighted row 905 in red to be reviewed. The other thing I wondered is if the "date illegible [18--]" would be included in the date field on the spreadsheet or should be in a note field (I mean just the "date illegible" part; I assume the [18--] would still go in the date field). Please let me know if you have any thoughts on this as well. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteAs we discussed, continue to put the op. and no. numbers as they appear in the title. We also discussed the date illegible note and to include this statement in a note field of the spreadsheet.
